URWA Policy Statement
The Utah Romance Writers of America® (URWA) meets the second Saturday of every month. Prospective members may attend three meetings as guests before joining and may receive three copies of the URWA Newsletter.
National RWA membership is a mandatory requirement to becoming a new member of the local chapter. Application forms for both the local and national organization are available at all meetings.
National RWA dues are paid separately and are $75 per year, renewable on the anniversary of your acceptance into the RWA. Local dues are $36 per year, renewable by Dec 31. New members will have their dues prorated, a deduction of $3 per month for each month into the year. Renewing members joining later in the year will always pay the full yearly amount.
Heart of the West is a monthly publication of the Romance Writers of America®, Utah/Salt Lake Chapter #61 for members in good standing and for other RWA chapters, for the purpose of exchanging information.

Deadline for newsletter articles is the 22nd of each month. We welcome news of sales, soon-to-be-released books, coming events and achievements of our members, articles on writing techniques and personal experience.
Other RWA chapters are welcome to reprint information contained herein, provided credit is given to the newsletter and author.
