By submitting my work to the Heart of the West Contest eletronically, I/we do swear to be the sole
creator(s) and owner(s) of the enclosed submission in its entirety. I/we agree to hold harmless the
Utah/Salt Lake Chapter Romance Writers of America®, sponsors of the Heart of the West Contest,
their Board of Directors, officers, members, all contest judges, personnel and volunteers, heirs and
assigns, et al., in any and all disputes arising from my/our entry(s) in the Heart of the West Contest.
I/we understand that score sheets will be returned electronically. I/we understand that the actual
entry will be returned as an attachment and I agree to hold Utah RWA harmless in the event of the
transmission of any unwanted files, viruses, trojans, worms or any other destructive entities currently
in existence or not yet discovered.
I/we also understand that judging by its very nature is subjective and that the decision of the judges
will be final. I/we agree that any questions regarding the interpretation of the rules will be decided by
the contest officials. I/we will accept and abide by the decisions of the judges regarding winners of
the contest. I/we understand and accept that ideas and titles cannot be copyrighted. I/we agree to
abide by the decision of the contest officials in any dispute(s) which are not specifically covered in the official contest rules.
